Elizabeth Philippine was the youngest child of Dauphine Marie Josèphe, born in 1764. She stayed with her older brother, Louis XVI. According to her Wikipedia article, Robespierre wanted to exile her, but "She was accused of assisting the king's flight, of supplying émigrés with funds, and of encouraging the resistance of the royal troops during the events of 10 August 1792. During her trial, she replied, when addressed as 'The Sister of a Tyrant': 'If my brother had been what you call him, you would not have been where you are, nor I where I am.' She was condemned to death and guillotined the following day." She never married.

According to her Wikipedia article, she "...married Gilbert du Motier, marquis de Lafayette.

They had four children: Henriette (1776–1778), Anastasie Louise Pauline du Motier (1777–1863), Georges Washington Louis Gilbert du Motier, (1779–1849), and Marie Antoinette Virginie du Motier (1782–1849)..." It is evident from the children's names that Gilbert was the Marquis de Lafayette involved in the American Revolution and the children were born before 1789.

She was married three times, the third time to the Prince of Wales in a less-than-marriage marriage. Her Wikipedia article states her Catholic religion and other considerations (what dynasty did she represent) would have prevented a full marriage, so they settled for something else.

Countess Dorothy's article in thepeerage, with a version of this image that I used for adjusting color of this Wikipaintings image, is here. The original Wikimedia image is biased towards yellow, even the book has buttery-colored pages. I lowered the temperature and shifted the color towards the blue and also used Photoshop to remove a few spots in the background.

Countess Dorothy looke every bit a Countess in casual yet luxurious satin dress and a towering pouff of hair above in this 1777 Reynolds portrait.

The colors of her military-inspired dress are American rebel uniform colors. Her husband Bonabes was killed on the vesselZéléwhile returning to America as part of the French forces there in 1783. They married in 1777 and I do not know when he was first posted to America.

From batguano.

Nathalie is dressed showing support for her husband's military engagement in Britain's colonies. She may be wearing a fur hat, also reflecting military influence. See a comparable portrait of Lady Worsley here.
